Clayton Park achieves highest rating for food hygiene
Clayton Park Conference Centre is proud to have been scored 5, the highest rating possible, by the Food Standards Agency in its National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.
The rating is scored by the local food safety officer who visits the premises to inspect and check how well the business is meeting the law by looking at how hygienically the food is handled, the condition and cleanliness of the buildings and how the business manages and records what it does to make sure food is safe.
At the end of the inspection, the business is rated between 0 and 5. The top rating of 5 means that the business was found to have ‘very good’ hygiene standards.
Conference Centre manager, Celia Duxbury said: “This top rating shows our customers that we provide the best possible care and hygiene standards throughout our in-house catering department. We are proud to display the rating certificate which confirms that we maintain high quality standards behind the scenes as well as front of house”.

Lancashire Governor Services
The Governor Services team organise a full range of events to support school governors from across the Lancashire area. These include numerous training sessions, meetings and conferences.
Clayton Park Conference Centre has been the chosen venue for the Annual Chair and Vice Chairs of Governors Conference for the past 10 years with approximately 100 Chairs and Vice-chairs attending the conference in March 2010.
Kirstin Laird from the Governor Services team explained, “We’ve used Clayton Park Conference Centre for a number of years and we’ve always received good feedback from our delegates. Governors are all volunteers and the annual conference provides us with an opportunity to say thank you and show them that their work is appreciated. The staff at Clayton Park make us all feel well looked after and delegates comment on how much they enjoy the buffet lunch.”
Kirstin finds Clayton Park Conference Centre a convenient venue for her delegates because of the easy access from the motorway network and plenty of free parking available. She adds,
“The number and size of rooms available allows us to run 6 workshops alongside the main conference room. The centre is well equipped with presentation equipment and Wifi. The food is fantastic and the staff are very helpful, even with our last minute demands – they can’t do enough for us.”
Forbes Solicitors
Joanne Pickering, Head of HR, Training and Quality at Forbes explains,
“As part of the Law Society, all solicitors have to undertake 16 hours of Continuous Professional Development per annum. Forbes is also an IIP accredited company and is committed to providing training and development opportunities for all our employees.”
When organising training events, one of the first jobs for Joanne is to book Clayton Park Conference Centre as the venue. She likes the good choice of rooms which can be adapted to suit the different layouts required. Joanne says,
“I can trust that the facilities, resources and catering will be set up as requested and delivered on time. The staff are very flexible and adaptable to our changing needs. Going to Clayton Park is like going to see old friends. We’ve been using this venue for years and will happily continue to do so.”
