Clayton Park is a subsidiary of the Lancashire Education Business Partnerships, a registered charity working with Lancashire schools to improve the skills and career opportunities for young people.
Every year, Clayton Park Conference Centre makes a donation to the charity from our profits. In this last financial year, £80,000 has already been donated plus an additional final amount still to be agreed. This money is put to good use through various projects supporting and encouraging our children to make career decisions.

GREEN RECOGNITION FOR CLAYTON PARK

An Accrington based company making efforts to improve its recycling processes has been awarded a Certificate of Commitment by Envirolink Northwest.
In addition to recycling much of its waste products, Clayton Park Conference Centre has made a commitment to purchasing recycled stationery and print products through membership of the Buy Recycled Code. Celia Duxbury, Director of Clayton Park Conference Centre, received the certificate from Charles Williams, Business Development Manager for Buy Recycled Code. |
Celia explained, “As a company we acknowledge our environmental responsibilities and we are continually seeking additional ways to become greener. We recently attended the EnCo2010 conference and came back with lots of ideas to take forward. The Buy Recycled Code further supports our recycling efforts by making a commitment to buy back products made from recycled waste”. Charles Williams praised the progress made saying, “Clayton Park Conference Centre working with Envirolink Northwest’s Buy Recycled Code, has taken significant steps towards buying products with recycled content and procuring services locally and sustainably”. |

Forbes Solicitors are a reputable law firm employing 350 staff, with 9 offices based in the North West and Leeds, covering all areas of law and providing legal advice for individuals and businesses. They are regular visitors to Clayton Park Conference Centre and find the location by Junction 7 of the M65 provides good access and parking facilities.
Joanne Pickering, Head of HR, Training and Quality at Forbes explains,
“As part of the Law Society, all solicitors have to undertake 16 hours of Continuous Professional Development per annum. Forbes is also an IIP accredited company and is committed to providing training and development opportunities for all our employees.”
When organising training events, one of the first jobs for Joanne is to book Clayton Park Conference Centre as the venue. She likes the good choice of rooms which can be adapted to suit the different layouts required. Joanne says,
