Going Green

At Clayton Park Conference Centre, we are proactive in reducing waste and energy consumption. We are continually striving to implement new ways of reducing our Carbon Footprint and are always looking to improve on these issues.

Our efforts to be green include:

• We attended the EnCO2010 Environmental Conference and Exhibition
• We recycle paper and cardboard
• We buy recycled stationery
• We print our stationery and information packs on recycled paper
• We encourage visitors and staff to car share
• We provide details of public transport on our location map
• We are currently running a trial for lighting sensors
• We are installing an energy efficient lighting system
• We try to reduce food waste
• We are reducing our usage of heating, lighting and water

We also try to help out Lancashire's local economy:

• We work with local suppliers and source local produce for catering supplies
• We use local contractors where possible
• We donate lost property to local charities if unclaimed after one month
