Going Green

Here at Clayton Park Conference Centre, we are proactive in reducing waste and energy consumption.

In our efforts to achieve this we:

Attended the EnCO2010 Environment Conference & Environmental Exhibition
Recycle paper & cardboard
Buy recycled stationery
Print our stationery and information packs on recycled paper
Encourage visitors and staff to car share
Provide details of public transport on our location map
Are currently running a trial for lighting sensors

Have included a commitment to installing energy efficient lighting systems in our Business Plans
Implement measures to reduce food wastage
Are proactive in reducing our usage of heating, lighting and water supplies
Work with local suppliers and source local produce for catering supplies
Use local contractors whenever possible
Send items left in our lost property box to local charity shops if left unclaimed after one month.

We believe that the Centre should make every effort possible to be proactive in reducing waste sent to landfill sites as well as reducing the amount of energy used, and that the above actions help to achieve this.

We are continually striving to implement new ways of reducing our Carbon Footprint and are always looking to improve on these issues.
